Alexandros Vardaksoglou

Alexandros Vardaxoglou is a dancer, choreographer, and actor. He graduated from the ‘Modern Times’ theater school, the State School of Dance (KSOT) in Greece and received his postgraduate degree in Acting at RADA. He has collaborated with several dance companies and choreographers in Greece and abroad, such as Andonis Foniadakis, Marianna Kavallieratos, Johannes Wieland, Christos Papadopoulos, Foofwa d’Imobilité. As an actor he has worked mainly in cinema with directors like Yorgos Zois, Thanos Anastopoulos, Christos Passalis, and others. For his work in the movie “Interruption” by Yorgos Zois (72nd Venice Film Festival), he received the award for Best Male Newcomer Actor at the 22nd International Athens Film Festival. As a choreographer, he has created the piece “Vanishing Point,” in collaboration with choreographer Dafin Antoniadou and artist Constantine Skourlis at the 7th Onassis New Choreographers Festival. He worked as a movement director in Manolis Mavris’s film “Brutalia,” which was awarded the Canal+ Award for best Short Film at the 74th Cannes Film Festival.
