Akiko Hasegawa
Originally from Japan, she came to France in 1994. She lives and works in Strasbourg. After training at the College of Art Nihon University in Tokyo and at the Centre National de Danse Contemporaine in Angers, she worked as a dancer for number of choreographers (Bernardo Montet, Carlotta Ikeda, Christian Bourigault, Suzanne Buirge, Pascal Montrouge, Catherine Diverrès) and also collaborated with stage directors (Anne Théron, Benoît Bradel, Pauline Ringeade, Claire Ingrid Cottanceau).
She offers dance workshops in schools and hospitals. She teaches at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg.
It's in 2019, that she decides to embark on creation and presents in Strasbourg “The comings and goings of the museums,” a duet with the violinist Aline Zeller on music by Annette Schlüntz. In October 2020 as part of Programme(s) Commun(s) at PÔLE-SUD CDCN - Strasbourg, she presents a first take of her solo “Haré Dance.”
In September 2021, she continues developing the solo, presenting her prologue and epilogue. In 2022 she started the research period of her new choreographic project.
She joined the Grand Luxe Network for the 2021-22 season.
