Aeris Trio
The Aeris Trio (Sofia Siora, trumpet; Christos Salvanos, horn; Andreas-Rolandos Theodorou, trombone) has in its repertoire works from the Baroque era to the present day. Its aim is to highlight the Greek music creation and pieces written especially for it.
Sofia Siora is a violin and trumpet graduate, who has attended seminars with leading trumpet players and has distinguished herself in many national competitions. She is also a member of The World Orchestra, the Greek-Turkish Youth Orchestra, and the Melos Brass quintet.
Christos Salvanos holds the first horn position in the Athens State Orchestra, is a member of the Keras Horn Ensemble, and has performed with many orchestras in Greece and Malta.
Andreas-Rolandos Theodorou is the leading trombonist of the Athens State Orchestra and a professor at the Athens Conservatoire and the Athens International Conservatoire in Ilioupolis. He represented Greece in the Eurovision Young Soloist Competition in 2000 and was a fellow of the International Ensemble Modern Academy, subsequently making important first performances of contemporary soloistic works in Greece.
Giorgos Theodoros Rarakos, collaborator of the trio, is the leading tuba player of the Athens State Orchestra, a musician with a very rich and versatile career in different musical genres.
