Open Call: Homage to Georges Aperghis
Athens Conservatoire, 26-29 March 2020
The universe of Georges Aperghis through an open call for musicians, actors and dancers

*Enumerations. To leave our mark, our footprint, our trace. The work was created by the ATEM in 1988 and was later made into a film by Hugo Santiago. Its Greek première will be prepared and performed by the workshop’s participants.
For the first time, one of Aperghis’s music theatre performances will be adapted in Greek, as far as it is possible. The text of the performance, once more a study on the French language and sonority, will be adapted to the Greek phonetics, trying, as much as possible, to keep the text’s initial abstract “meaning” and sound content unchanged. The adaptation will be done especially for this workshop by Georges Aperghis and Nicolas Tzortzis, so the work is more easily understood by participants and public alike.
