Monday, May 10, 2021 sees the start of the Delphi Economic Forum VI, held this year at the Zappeion Megaron in a hybrid format, with more than 1,000 speakers from 42 countries taking part both in person and over the Internet. In this highly symbolic year for Greece, the latest edition of the Delphi Economic Forum will be embracing topics that commemorate the bicentennial of the Greek Revolution.

Continuing its longstanding collaboration with the institution, the Onassis Foundation is taking part in the Delphi Economic Forum as a Strategic Content Partner, organizing two talks on important issues relating to the here and now: the Greek #MeToo movement, and the National Strategic Plan for Transplants in Greece. Furthermore, on Monday, May 10 at 12:20, the President of the Onassis Foundation – Anthony S. Papadimitriou – will be one of the speakers in the session “Greek Shipping in the 21st Century: Prospects, Challenges and the Strive for Excellence”.

A giant leap forward in the Greek healthcare sector is close to being realized. The study for a National Strategic Plan for Transplants in Greece is currently being completed by a team at the London School of Economics and Imperial College London, with its core members explaining the framework for the proposals expected to lead transplant practice into a new era. Acting holistically, the Onassis Foundation stands firm in its support for the Greek State and the Hellenic Transplant Organization, making contributions that are helping to rebuild the country’s transplant sector.
