The Onassis Foundation at the Fortune CEO Initiative 2020

The Fortune Greece CEO Initiative 2020 will be streamed live in its entirety this Thursday, November 26, from 11:00 until 19:00

The Onassis Foundation is taking part in this year’s largest corporate conference bringing together Greece’s top business leaders. Joining forces to turn the current crisis into an opportunity to create a safer, better tomorrow, more than 40 speakers from companies, institutions, and organizations, as well as state representatives, will be revealing their initiatives and commitments for a more sustainable world. The Onassis Foundation’s Director of Culture, Afroditi Panagiotakou, will be taking part in a discussion on how the speakers kept their workforces focused and motivated in the midst of a pandemic, adjusted their workflows, and promoted the reshuffling of their businesses despite the repercussions of the pandemic, and on how they imagine both the immediate future, and their relationships with their staff, clients, collaborators, and with society more broadly. Three unique approaches outlined by three heads of leading organizations and companies in Greece and Europe, in a discussion titled “Meeting the Moment”.Later in the day, the President of the Onassis Foundation, Anthony Papadimitriou, will be taking part in a discussion on the intense flux and rapid changes being faced by leaders due both to an acceleration in technological advances, and to the Covid-19 pandemic. How is leadership style changing, and what new qualities do company heads need to cultivate? Dimitris Alexopoulos, Chairman of the Board of the Hellenic Federation of Enterprises (SEV) and Chairman of the Group Executive Committee of Titan Cement International (TCI), opens this discussion with Anthony Papadimitriou on the ways in which entrepreneurs today are being called upon to think “outside the box” about tomorrow.
