Interactive Workshops with an essence of NBA for the Athletes of the AntetokounBros Academy

As part of the parallel activities of the academy, the children participated in the groundbreaking Basketball School, which took place in December, with the expertise of the Eurohoops Organization aiming at the development of children as athletes, as well as to the acquisition of knowledge that will help them become better citizens. For the AntetokounBros Academy is a unique academy that is not confined within the basketball court lines.

The first Basketball School workshop took place at the Onassis Stegi, during which the coaches led an interesting seminar on basketball techniques, showing videos from the top basketball leagues in the globe. The children had the chance to watch Giannis Antetokounmpo and other basketball idols on screen and to analyze, together with their coaches, their moves and choices in various instances. Since, Basketball School is an interactive program, whose objective is to inspire the athletes and provide knowledge that will contribute to their development.

The children were amazed by the achievements of the Head Coach of the academy, Anastasia Kostaki, as a member of the Greece women's national basketball team as well as in WNBA.

After the workshop, the young athletes were trained at the Lycée Léonin, in Ano Patisia, due to rain, which will happen in any case of bad weather.

A series of thematic workshops will follow, which will be completed by the end of the season.

The program is implemented at the courts of Labrini and Ambelokipi, with the support of the City of Athens Culture, Sport & Youth Organization (OPANDA).
