AntetokounBros Academy returns

From Saturday, June 20, the AntetokounBros Academy returns after almost three months of absence, securing antibody tests and face masks for all athletes, and taking all the necessary precautions against Covid-19, in collaboration with the OCSC.

NIKE, the Onassis Foundation and Eurohoops organization, aiming to inspire athletes in overcoming, through the magic of sports, the unprecedented situation experienced by the entire planet, have looked after to create a safe workout space. More specifically, the Onassis Foundation, in collaboration with the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center (OCSC), provided all athletes, coaches and staff of the Academy with antibody tests, as well as with the necessary amount of disposable masks to complete the first season of training. In addition, in cooperation with the Culture, Sports & Youth Organization of the City of Athens (OPANDA), all stadiums will be disinfected before and after each training session.

The AntetokounBros Academy is reopening its doors and is pleased to announce the resumption of training, following the instructions of the General Secretariat of Sports and the National Public Health Organization (EODY).

The trainings will start on Saturday, June 20, at the open courts of Lamprini and Ampelokipoi, while the first season of the Academy is to be completed by July 18

The athletes of the first season will have the opportunity to attend the training part of the Academy’s program which could not be implemented due to the new conditions, during the next season 2020-21 on a date to be announced.

Regarding the scholarships of the program, the educational scholarships for four athletes and one apprentice coach of this season will be transferred to the next season 2020-21, but reserving these places exclusively for the athletes and apprentice coaches of the current season. There will be no change in basketball scholarships for athletes and apprentice coaches. Beneficiaries will be announced at the end of this year’s training sessions as scheduled, and their scholarship will start in September 2020.
