Antetokounbros Academy is here

Young athletes, full of hope for the future, were provided sports clothing by the team of Nike, the Eurohoops Organization and the Onassis Foundation, just before they entered the court for their training.

Love of sports, team spirit and smiles, boys and girls with different ethnicities, religions, and coming from various neighborhoods, made for a celebratory mood. The first days of the trainings fully reflect the vision of the Antetokounmpo brothers for a special academy that will exceed the limits of basketball and offer hope and joy to underprivileged children.

The young athletes gathered in a circle and listened carefully to their coaches, who introduced them to the program, the trainings and the other actions that their year in the ΑntetokounΒros Academy will include.

The Head Coach of the AntetokounBros Academy, Anastasia Kostaki, along with experienced and apprentice coaches, highlighted that the aim is to enjoy the game and to progress. Later on, she mentioned the very interesting non-athletic actions provided by the Onassis Foundation, including talks by life coaches, while she also talked about the educational and basketball scholarships that will be offered to those who will stand out. The Head Coach particularly emphasized this point, stating that the scholarship will not necessarily go the best player, but to that who will show the greatest improvement, effort and commitment throughout the year.

After the talk, the time all the kids were waiting for came. The trainings started and the athletes were divided into smaller groups and did the exercises of the coaches, showing eagerness and concentration.
