In the Onassis Foundation, two hundred years after the Revolution of 1821, we look to the future and, with your help, bring the Greece of tomorrow and the new national ideals worth fighting for to the fore. We celebrate the great historical anniversary, initiating a big public discussion about the Greece of 2121.
We know the heroes of 1821, but who will be the new heroes in 2121? What challenges will they face in the Greece of the future
We invite all the active, concerned citizens, to share their ideas, beliefs and thoughts on questions coming from the future: What will it mean to be Greek in 2121? What does revolution mean to you? Will it have the same meaning in 100 years? If the demand in 1821 was freedom, what demand will be urgent in 2121?
Climate change scenarios, cyber revolutionary heroes, virtual Greek cities, futuristic natural environments. All your bold ideas and thoughts trigger a big public debate that will take place at the Onassis Stegi, which will be live-streamed in other cities of Greece and abroad, in a large network of opinions on the revolution of 2121.
Meanwhile, in collaboration with MRB, we conduct a research all over Greece addressing the general public and institutions, about the revolution of 1821 and how the concept of revolution is construed today, as well as in the future.
