Awards to leading Institutes researchers
Three professors from USA, one from Canada and one from the UK were awarded the Onassis Prizes in 2015.
Portfolio design, finance of business, environment and offshore companies, goods and shipping transportations, these are the research fields that were honoured in 2015.
Professor Gene Grossman of Preston University received in Prize for International Trade
The Prize in Finance was awarded to Professor Richard Roll of the California Technological Institute and Professor Stewart Myers of the Massachusetts Technological Institute. The former for his contribution to the portfolio design and the latter for the economic development of businesses. The Prize for International Trade was awarded to Professor Gene Grossman of Preston University for his contribution to the strategic politics on trade, environmental finance and the offshore companies economics. The Shipping Prize was awarded to Professors Emeriti Trevor Heaver of Sauder School of Business in Vancouver and Dr. Martin Stopford, of the University of London, for their research on shipping transportations.
