Vassiliki Anagnostopoulou
Primary Education Teacher and Special Education Teacher
From Croatia to Greece. An awareness and information program regarding the phenomenon of digital bullying.
During the 2021-22 school year, she joined the Erasmus youth exchange program in Croatia, on the topic of cyberbullying. In the program’s context, she participated in certain implemented activities, along with students of the school she was working at the time (6th Grade classes of the 6th Primary School of Aigaleo).
In the informative online meeting, the Greek team presented the material assembled from all program participants, such as short films, webpage creation, digital posters, and other educational materials. The participating teams joined awareness and information programs regarding the phenomenon of digital bullying, as well as the broader dangers that internet and social media use may entail. They had the opportunity to learn practices for their safe navigation in the internet, as well as methods of recognition, protection, and avoidance of lurking dangers. In the framework of the program, the entire team collaborated and created their own digital posters using tablets, in order to raise awareness against school bullying.
Through this action, the Greek team, under the initiative of Vassiliki Anagnostopoulou, decided to donate the budget for the dissemination activities from the Erasmus program resources to the school for the purchase of two tablets. The contribution of the Croatian organization LAG SAVA was overall instrumental, as it agreed and helped both in the realization of the activity at school and the purchase and donation of the two tablets. Of course, the contribution of all the teachers and school principal, who agreed to host this activity at school, was equally crucial.
