“Algorithm” for the training of students between five and eighteen years old in the fields of educational robotics and computer programing.

After many years of experience in the fields of education and IT, Efstratios Peroutseas has founded in 2018 the social cooperative “Algorithm,” where he serves as president until today. Acting according to the cooperative’s statute and as defined by Article 2 of Law 4430/2016, collective and social benefit is sought, while sustainable development activities are further developed. More precisely, the services provided by “Algorithm” involve the training of students between five and eighteen years old in the fields of educational robotics and computer programing, through physical and remote training programs and with the prospect of the students’ participation in local and international competitions.

He contributes himself through the roles of business manager, coordinator and designer of the course program, teacher and coach of the teams participating in the competition, and trainer of his associates.

In just four years of operation and despite the obstacles posed by Covid-19, the added value of “Algorithm” activities has surpassed its initial goals. On a business level, it counts more than twenty collaborations with associations, other organizations, and “The Smile of the Child,” always in the framework of educational robotics and computer programing. Already in its first year of operation, more than 200 students have been trained with five teachers who are members of “Algorithm.” In terms of innovation, prototype Lego robots were built in order to further enrich the courses of “Algorithm” and later participated in competitions. One of these automatically lights a branded portable gas stove. With regards to project recognition, there are 148 positive evaluations on Google, 395 subscriptions on YouTube, 817 likes on Facebook and a physical track record from its participations in regional, national, and international competitions:

2019: 2nd position in Greece (high school robotics)

2020: 1st, 1st, and 5th positions in Greece (elementary and high school robotics)

2021: 3rd, 3rd, and 5th positions in Greece (elementary and high school robotics), 1st and 5th positions in international competition (robotics)

2022: 2nd, 2nd, 5th, and 9th positions in Greece (elementary and high school robotics), with 6 students entering the final phase of the national IT competition and 3 of them joining the competition Camp.
