It happens in life. We meet a friend of a friend and, before we know it, they're our friend, too. It happens at Onassis Stegi, too.

Our Friends are all kind of interlinked. Even if they didn't know each other a few minutes ago, there's something that unites them.

That something is the Onassis Stegi itself — a point of convergence for people and adventures of the mind, a meeting point for those of us who are filled with curiosity about what's happening in and around us, who want to explore how art and culture can drive social change, who have bold ideas and who elect to be active citizens.

Our friends make us better. Relationships make us better. Friendship is a relationship of choice. And choice is an element of freedom.

And while, in our personal lives, we can count our good friends on the fingers of one hand, when it comes to the Stegi, we'd need a lot of hands to count them all. And may they continue to multiply! So we can band together and speak, so we can analyze and enjoy our lives, together. And so we can go to Onassis Stegi together.

Yours,

Afroditi Panagiotakou
