John Willinsky

Ο John Willinsky είναι Ομότιμος Καθηγητής στην έδρα Khosla Family του Πανεπιστημίου Stanford (ΗΠΑ) και Καθηγητής (LT) στο Πανεπιστήμιο Simon Fraser (Καναδάς), καθώς επίσης Επιστημονικός Συν-Διευθυντής του Public Knowledge Project, το οποίο διεξάγει έρευνα και αναπτύσσει το ευρύτερα χρησιμοποιούμενο λογισμικό επιστημονικών δημοσιεύσεων ανοιχτού κώδικα στον κόσμο για υποστήριξη μεγαλύτερη πρόσβασης στη γνώση. Έχει εκδώσει δώδεκα βιβλία, ανάμεσά τους τα εξής: “Empire of Words: The Reign of the OED” (Princeton University Press, 1994), “Learning to Divide the World: Education at Empire’s End” (University of Minnesota Press, 1998), “The Access Principle: The Case for Open Access to Research and Scholarship” (MIT, 2006), “The Intellectual Properties of Learning: A Prehistory from Saint Jerome to John Locke” (University of Chicago Press, 2017) και “Copyright’s Broken Promise: How to Restore the Law’s Ability to Promote the Progress of Science” (MIT, 2023).
