Silenced

Point of Interest

Description

There is no alternative (?)

Two sealed gateways just before the south gate of the castle. In the past, when the waters reached the wall, they would have allowed direct access to the lake: to collect water, enter and exit, or dispose of useless objects and waste. The wall is defined not only by its ability to prevent, but also by the passages it creates. Closing a passage is as much a political act as silencing a voice. In both cases it is the technology that makes the “other” impossible. A technology is truly successful when you don't see it anymore, when it disappears, eliminating the alternatives.
