Regut Garden

Sound Installation

Description

Field recordings of a hundred-year-old garden in Slovenia, inhabited by exotic plants and trees, some brought from Alexandria during the peak of the Slovenian migration there. A garden that has been abandoned and growing wildly for the last 20 years, entangled with shrubs of narratives, poems, data and research fragments that form an imaginary of an era of fruitful exchange, as well as an erasure of memory. A reading of a garden as a place of entangled narratives.
