Many quiet dialogues

A site-specific installation involving sound and movement produced by found objects and kinetic mechanisms in the garden. They vibrate and tinkle with natural and artificial elements, filling the green space with whirs and chimes and an uncanny sense of energy, inviting you to take an unexpected step or two. We are orientated but also disorientated by mixtures of vibrations. These are joined by all other vibrations that exist in the environment, such as the wind, birds, trees, our own movements – like many quiet dialogues going on all at once…

Rie will be joined by Pierre Berthet for a very special performance on June 16. Pierre will also install singing chairs.
