Webinar: "Lung transplantation in Greece"
Present developments and future challenges

Wednesday 21 of April 2021

As lungs are one of the body's most affected organs in this period of the pandemic, developments surrounding lung transplantation worldwide have become essential in healthcare.

After 10 years and thanks to the coordinated efforts of the Ministry of Health, the National Transplant Organization and the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, but also with the contribution of the Onassis Foundation Scholarships Program that has allowed the further training of Greek physicians abroad, Greece has seen the launch of the Lung Transplant Program, which is a landmark for the country’s health sector.

How has the Program progressed to date? What are the developments in lung transplantation worldwide, and what are the challenges we will face in the future?

Those are the questions to be answered by top scientists and surgeons from Greece in an online discussion to be held under the scientific auspices of the Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center and with the support of the Onassis Foundation.
