ANTHONY PAPADIMITRIOU (PRESIDENT AND TREASURER)

Anthony Papadimitriou is a prominent lawyer and economist. He graduated from the Athens University Law School in 1977 and holds a postgraduate degree in law from the University Aix – en – Provence (France).

He obtained his PhD from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He holds a B. Sc (Economics) Degree from the London School of Economics. He is a practicing lawyer. In 1989 he was appointed a lawyer to the Supreme Court of Athens. Since 1992 he became the managing partner of the legal firm of S. & A. Papadimitriou and Partners.

Since 1986 he has served as legal advisor to the Onassis Group shipping company, Olympic Shipping and Management S.A. In 1988 he was elected member of the Board of Directors of the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation, on the recommendation of the then president Christina Onassis. Since 1995 he has been the co-ordinator of the Executive Committee of the Onassis Group commercial activities, which are under the control of the Onassis Foundation. He is also responsible for the financial sector and the big projects.

In 2005 he was unanimously elected President and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.
    
In 2008 he was accepted as Honorary Master of the Bench of the Middle Temple. In 2006 he was awarded with the Saint Marks Cross by the Patriarchate of Alexandria and in 2010 he was handed insignia of the Knight of the Legion of Honour  (Chevalier de la Légion d' Honneur) by the French Government.

IOANNIS IOANNIDIS (VICE-PRESIDENT)

Ioannis Ioannidis is an economist. He was a pilot with Olympic Airways for 14 years. Since 1988 he has worked for the Onassis Group. In October 1991 he was elected a member of the Board of Directors of the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation. In 1992 he became General Manager of the Springfield Shipping Co. Panama S.A., which acts as the representative in Piraeus of Olympic Shipping and Management S.A. In March 1997 he was elected Assistant Secretary of the Foundation's Board of Directors.

Since March 1998 he has been President and Managing Director of Olympic Shipping and Management S.A., which manages the ships controlled by the Foundation. He is a member of the Executive Committee and is responsible for the shipping enterprises of the Onassis Group.

In 2005 he was unanimously elected Vice-President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation.

In 2006 he was awarded with the Saint Marks Cross by the Patriarchate of Alexandria and in 2010 he was handed insignia of the Knight of the Legion of Merit  (Chevalier de la Légion du Mérite) by the French Government.

Since 1999, he has been a deputy member of the Association of Greek Shipowners and since 2000 a regular member of the same association. From 1995 to 2010, he had been a member of the Board of Directors of the United Kingdom Protection & Indemnity Club (UK P&I Club).

MARIANNA MOSCHOU (SECRETARY)

Marianna Moschou is a senior bank official specializing in Global Banking for the shipping sector.
 For many years she was Deputy Head of the Global Shipping Division of Citibank, in charge of the Bank's Shipping Business in Greece, Southern Europe and the Middle East.

She joined Citibank in December of 1967. Since 2002 she works as a business consultant.

In 2005 she was elected to the Board of Directors of the Alexander S. Onassis Public Benefit Foundation and the Alexander S. Onassis Business Foundation, while in 2007 she was elected Secretary of the Board of Directors of the above Foundations.

In 2010 she was elected President of the Board of Directors of the NGO ELEPAP- Hellenic Society for Disabled Children, while from 2002 to 2010 she was Member and Secretary General of the Board of Directors of the same organization.

She holds a BA in Greek Literature from the Athens University and she has attended many professional training programmes at Greek and international universities on financing, international banking and credit risk management.
